Elvira is a native of beautiful Albania. She started studying cello at age of six at the Music School in Durrës. After that she studied at the Academy of Arts in Tirana. After graduation she assumed a number of orchestral position in both chamber and full orchestra in her home town.
Since coming to Canada in 1999 with her family she was settled in Vancouver and was engaged in a numerous musical endeavours both as Cello teacher and performer.
She is a member of the Burnaby Symphony Orchestra and has performed in concert all over the Lower Mainland. In addition she was the cellist for "Wrelek" and "Appassionata" trios, which performed successfully many of the standard piano trios to high acclaim. Currently she is performing a number of solo recitals with the pianist Winfried Rompf, including some of the great duo repertoire such as the Sonatas of Chopin, Grieg and Beethoven.
As a teacher both privately and in the "British Columbia Conservatory of Music", "Pacific Coast School of Music" she has taught outstanding students who have won numerous awards and prizes.
She is a member of the "Vancouver Cello Club".
