Albanian born cellist Edevaldo Mulla has been widely heard in concerts in Europe and America. As a soloist he performed with multiple orchestras such as Sarajevo Philharmonic Orchestra, Quincy Symphony Orchestra, Space Coast Symphony Orchestra and Fresinger Chamber Orchestra.
From his recent performance, The Boston Musical Intelligencer described him as “a Byronesque extrovert who conquered the virtuosic demands and never lost touch with songfulness and romance”. Mr. Mulla has been on cello faculty at the Artistic Lyceum of Tirana ‘Jordan Misja’, at the International Summer Music Festival “Vivace Vilnius” in Lithuania, at Crescendo Winter Music Festival in Florida, and worked with famous artists such as David Ying, Steven Doane, Michael Tetel, Alain Menuir, Ammy Flamer and Christian Ivaldi. Mr. Mulla has also participated in festivals of Contemporary Music in Albania and Italy.
As a chamber musician, he is a member of the Jemur Piano Trio, formed in January 2012, handpicked to play the Tchaikovsky Piano Trio for six Boston Conservatory Dance Concerts, with world premiere choreography by the Boston Ballet’s Daniel Pelzer. As a former honors ensemble of The Boston Conservatory they toured to Europe for concerts and various projects. As an orchestra player, Edevaldo held principal cello position at Sarajevo Philharmonic Orchestra, he has also regularly performed with Boston Philharmonic, Cape Ann Symphony, Orchestra of Indian Hill, MIT Orchestra, Symphony Nova, and collaborated with East Coast Scoring Orchestra.
Mr. Mulla started cello lessons when he was six years old. He received his bachelor diploma from the Academy of Arts in Tirana (Albania) under guidance of Prof. Astrit Selita, and his Graduate Performance Diploma from the Boston Conservatory with Andrew Mark and Holgen Gjoni. Mr. Mulla recently completed his Masters degree at the Univerity of South Florida in Scott Kluksdahl's studio. He is currently playing on Michael Gerlach cello (2014).
