Marinella Doko was born in Vlorë (Albania) in 1975. She began her musical studies in her hometown and then at the Academy of Arts in Tirana under the direction of Muharrem Denizi and Gëzim Laro.
In 1997 she continued her studies in Belgium at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels under the direction of Didier Poskin and she immediately won the first prize and the higher diploma in cello with great distinction and the higher diploma in chamber music with great distinction.
Marinella Doko was top solo cellist of the orchestra of young virtuosos of Tirana, she also participated in concerts with the Radio Orchestra of Albania, the Alb-Classic (chamber orchestra), the Chamber Orchestra de Wallonie, and the Orchestre National de Belgique.
Marinella Doko currently teaches at the Namur Conservatoire and the Royal Conservatory of Brussels.
